Who are you and how did you get to Brooklyn?
Raheim Robinson, I rode BMX amateur for a few years and worked in fitness for sometime but recently fell in love with riding a fixie and bouldering. I ride from Harlem into BK to climb 3-4 times a week to add in a mix-up of cardio before I climb.
How did you start climbing?
Was in Central Park one day for a fair and my daughter entered into an obstacle course challenge. She won best time for girls and she somehow convinced me to enter and I received best time for men’s challenge.
What do you do?
I’m a Marketing Communications Director/Creative Director in the fashion and digital media space.
How has climbing impacted your life?
Climbing made me realize I wasn’t as tough as I thought… Its really not just about muscle strength but muscle endurance, mental endurance, stability and balance all at pace.
What are your current projects, on and off the wall?
On the wall, working around V4 and hoping to move up very soon. Off the wall I’m working with a few brands to help rebrand and restructure their marketing and communications.
