Group Exercise classes are included with a Day Pass and Membership. Members get additional discounts on Climbing Classes. Group Exercise classes are 60 minutes unless otherwise noted. Please arrive early to find a space in class. Yoga mats are available for rent at the front desk.

Intro to Climbing

Progress through ongoing coaching! Intro to Climbing provides you with ongoing access to our most experienced coaching staff and instructors, who will help you achieve your climbing goals. During each session, we’ll take you through a full warm up, then a series of drills, exercises and workouts to improve your climbing skills and fitness. As you continue to participate in Sessions, our coaches will develop a clear sense of your strengths and weaknesses, so that they can adjust the content of each session to suit your personal climbing needs and goals.

Learn the Ropes

An introduction to top-roping. Learn the Ropes is our most popular class and a great introduction for climbers looking to gain basic knowledge and skills. The class teaches each student how to fit a harness, tie basic knots, and manage the ropes for another climber while they climb. You’ll leave with all the necessary skills to pass our top rope belay certification check.

Included in the Class: Two hours of instruction in Learn The Ropes Day pass and gear for both days of the class ($78 value) included in non-member purchase You must be at least 14 years old to participate in this class.

Learn to Lead

2 Classes, 3 Hours Per Class. Learn to Lead is a comprehensive and in-depth course on lead climbing for those looking to increase their knowledge and refine their skills. All required gear is provided for this class. You’ll Learn, lead belaying and lead climbing skills and techniques, rope handling, risk management and falling.

Level Up: V2-V4

You may know how to climb, but are you mastering your practice? This class is designed for intermediate to experienced climbers who want to deepen their knowledge and improve their technique. Ramp up the learning curve, harness precision, gain greater control and dive into training theories that will advance your body and mind.

Climber Core

Geared specifically to the needs of a climber or anyone looking to develop a monster core, this intense class strengthens the spine, abs, quads and back for better body tone, balance and performance. Using anti-rotation and twist exercises from pilates and yoga, static hold exercises from competitive sports and acrobatic core techniques along with circuit-training, this class will give you the tools to climb stronger, last longer and be more injury free.


Yoga for Climbers

This class is the perfect complement to climbing. Challenging both your physical and mental self, this class flows from pose to pose, emphasizing stretching and strengthening the muscle groups you use most in climbing as well as their complementary counterparts. All levels are welcome. Come with a mat and an open mind.


Bootcamp is a high-energy circuit conditioning class utilizing dumbbells, kettle bells, resistance bands, battle ropes, climbing, body weight and whatever else we can think of. Participants can expect a well rounded hour of power. The class will be divided into stations involving strength, stabilization, agility, and cardio with a focus on climber-specific progression. Open to all fitness levels. 


Develop strength, speed, endurance, precision, spatial awareness, dynamism, and creativity, in order to be as fluid, functional and liberated as possible in physical movement and to overcome physical obstacles. Students will begin to develop a way of thinking based on rigorous self-discipline, autonomous action and self-will that allows them to overcome mental obstacles related to their movements. Classes include extensive and dynamic warm-up exercises, instruction in the basic movements of parkour, and a number of strengthening and conditioning exercises to ensure the long-term practice of the sport. Rise and Shine – Open Level

Begin your morning with deep breathing and awakening poses, leaving you feeling energized, centered, and ready for the amazing day ahead!

Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga – Open Level 

This class is a mixture of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga styles using props, the wall, and the flow of our breath and body. We’ll focus on proper alignment as we move deeper into poses, inverting, twisting, bending, stretching, relaxing, and most importantly, breathing. While we will explore some challenging poses and advanced variations, all levels are welcome and any pose can be modified to suit your energy and experience level.

Intermediate Vinyasa Yoga

Each class features a unique vinyasa sequence built around a specific theme or peak posture bringing focus to anatomical alignment, muscle engagement, body awareness, and focus. We provide variations to challenge every level of student. Classes will involve hand balances, varying inversions, and unique transitions to engage and push students. Please arrive five to ten minutes early to grab a mat and settle into the room. Rental yoga mats are available at the front desk.

Yoga in the Park 

If you’re looking to stretch, sweat and ground yourself with the music of the wind and trees, this all-levels vinyasa flow series in Somerville’s Prospect Hill Park is just what you’ve been looking for. The class is free for members and $10 for all others. Yoga mats and blocks included.
